General Rules
- Mandatory in front and rear
- Fine: Up to £500
- Driver responsible for under 14s
Child Seat Requirements

| Under 3 | Child seat always |
| 3-12 AND under 135cm | Child seat in cars |
| 12+ OR over 135cm | Adult seatbelt |
Exemptions
- Medical exemption certificate
- Delivery drivers (frequent stops)
- Reversing
- Driving instruction (instructor)
Taxi Rules
- Front seat: seatbelt required
- Rear seat: adult passenger chooses
- Children: seat required if available
