Blue: Paid parking zone (Strefa Płatnego Parkowania) — requires a parking ticket
Yellow: No parking or restricted area — reserved for buses, taxis, or emergency vehicles

Parking Tips

  • In Kraków and Warsaw, paid parking zones operate Monday to Saturday; Sundays are usually free
  • Always check for signage — some residential areas require resident permits

Common Mistakes Tourists Make

  • 3Exceeding the 50 km/h urban speed limit that applies from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM (60 km/h from 11:00 PM to 5:00 AM)
  • 4Not yielding to pedestrians who are approaching a crosswalk — since June 2021, drivers must stop for pedestrians about to step onto a crossing
  • 5Underestimating distance between cities on single-carriageway roads
