Swedish Driver Training
Requirements
- Introduction course (Introduktionskurs)
- Risk education (Riskutbildning) - unique to Sweden
- Part 1: Alcohol, drugs, fatigue
- Part 2: Practical risk training on track
- Theory test at Trafikverket
- Practical test
Ovningskorkort (Learner Permit)
- Apply from age 16
- Must have approved supervisor (Handledare)
- Supervisor must take course
- Practice as much as possible
- Most Swedes do 100+ hours
Costs
- Driving school lessons: 600-800 SEK/hour
- Risk education: ~5,000 SEK
- Theory test: 325 SEK
- Practical test: 800 SEK
- Private practice is cheaper but requires supervisor course
