Cars (Patente B)
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Theory and practical tests required
- Supervised driving (Foglio Rosa) before test

Foglio Rosa (Learner's Permit)
- Valid for 12 months
- Must be accompanied by licensed driver
- "P" sign required on vehicle

New Driver Restrictions (Neopatentati)
For first 3 years:
- Lower speed limits (100/90 km/h)
- Zero alcohol tolerance
- Cannot drive high-powered vehicles (kW/weight ratio limit)
- "P" sign recommended
Getting Italian License
Requirements
- Residency in Italy
- Medical certificate
- Theory test (30 questions, quiz format)
- Practical test with examiner
Foglio Rosa Phase
- 6 months minimum driving experience
- Supervised drives required
- Theory test first, then 6 driving lessons minimum
