Hastighetsgranser
Germany has NO general speed limit on the Autobahn, but 130 km/h is recommended. Urban areas: 50 km/h. Outside urban areas: 100 km/h. Many Autobahn sections DO have limits - watch for signs.
Alkoholgranser
Germany BAC limit: 0.5 promille (0.05%) for most drivers. Absolute zero tolerance (0.0%) for drivers under 21 and those with less than 2 years license.
Koralder
In Germany: 18 years for cars (Class B), or 17 with "Begleitetes Fahren" (accompanied driving). Mopeds from 15 years (AM license). Motorcycles: A1 from 16, A2 from 18, A from 24 (or 20 with A2).
Svangningsregler
Germany uses "Rechts vor Links" (right before left) at unmarked intersections. Left turns must yield to oncoming traffic. Green arrow allows right turn on red (after stopping). Always yield to pedestrians.
Rondeller
In German roundabouts: yield to traffic in the roundabout, drive counter-clockwise, signal only when exiting (not entering). No signal needed when entering the roundabout.
Parkeringsregler
In Germany, paid parking costs €1-3/hour in cities. A Parkscheibe (parking disc) is required in blue zones. Fines range from €20 for expired parking to €70+ for blocking emergency access. Always display your Parkschein or Parkscheibe visibly.
Bälteslag
In Germany, seatbelts are mandatory for all occupants. Fine is €30 for adults, €60 if child is not secured (plus 1 point). Children under 150cm or 12 years must use child restraints.
Mobilförbud
Using a handheld phone while driving in Germany costs €100 fine and 1 point. If causing danger, fine increases to €150 + 2 points. Cyclists also face €55 fines.

German Autobahns have no general speed limit but a recommended speed of 130 km/h. However, many sections have limits. No toll for cars. Right lane is for driving, left lanes for overtaking only.
Nödprocedurer
In Germany, call 112 for emergencies. Form a Rettungsgasse (rescue lane) in traffic jams. At accidents: secure scene, call help, provide first aid. First aid training is mandatory for license.
