Can I take the Czech driving test in English?
No, the official theory test is only available in Czech. Practice with AutoviaTest in English to learn the rules before taking the official test.
Is there really zero alcohol tolerance?
Yes, Czechia has a strict 0.0‰ BAC limit. Any amount of alcohol while driving is illegal and can result in severe penalties including license suspension and fines.
Do I need to attend driving school?
If you need to take the full test (not just exchange), attending an authorized driving school (autoškola) is mandatory. You cannot self-study for the practical test.
How long do I have to exchange my license?
Non-EU residents with permanent residency must exchange within 3 months. Those with temporary residency can use their foreign license with an IDP.
