Rural Roads (Landeveje)
- Maximum: 80 km/h
- Many roads signed lower
Urban Areas (Byomrader)
- Maximum: 50 km/h
- Many 40 km/h zones
- School areas often 30-40 km/h
Residential Areas
- 30-40 km/h common
- "Stillevej" (quiet streets): 15 km/h
Speeding Fines
Denmark has some of Europe's highest fines:
