EU/EEA 국민
EU / EEA licences are fully recognised: exchange without theory exam or Kontrollfahrt (practical control drive). Source: ASTRA blog "Umtausch ausländischer Führerausweise unter der Lupe".

UK / Northern Ireland: fully exempt — no theory exam, no Kontrollfahrt. The UK is on the ASTRA list of fully recognised countries alongside all EU / EEA states. USA: exempt from the Kontrollfahrt but must pass the Swiss theory exam in the cantonal language.

Per ASTRA, holders from Andorra, Australia, Canada, Israel, Japan, Morocco, Monaco, New Zealand, San Marino, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Tunisia and the USA are exempt from the Kontrollfahrt but must pass the Swiss theory exam. Countries outside both lists must take the full theory exam + Kontrollfahrt.
